ABOUT ME
Raised in the Northwest but born to live in the Rockies, I currently live in SKI Town, USA with my two raucus boys and rad husband which suits me just dandy. Anyone who knows me, knows that my life is happily busy and revolves around snow, ice, water, mountains, gardens, God, family, books, writing, music (my piano(s), violin and viola specifically), sports, food, real estate (Yes, I do that too), my dog and my cameras. Not in any particular order excepting God and family, who should, of course, be at the top.
As for photography, I need, LOVE, and have to have natural light! I am not a studio photographer nor do I have the equipment, skills or desire to be one. I do not consider myself any particular type of phototgrapher although, love, landscape and the world at large, really pull at my heartstrings. I am a gal who loves life, loves to play and loves to capture it, in all its awesomeness. I really do like to shoot people, nature, places, things and everything in between!
I shoot on a Pentax K1 Full Frame and a Pentax DSLR K3 with several amazing lenses, including my bread and butter, HD Pentax D FA 70-200, a Sigma 35mm art f/1.4, HD Pentax D-FA 24-70mm, HD Pentax D-FA 15-30mm and then my primes, the Pentax 77mm Limited, the 100mm f/2.8 Macro, Lensbaby 85mm Velvet, a nifty fifty and the SMC DA 55mm f/1.4. I also have some nice walk around lenses, including the fantastic Tamron 28-75mm and a solid Pentax 18-270mm.When needed, I have a Pentax Speedlight with MagMod diffusers. Now, I'm just patiently waiting for the new Pentax 85mm to be released and then I may stop with the lens obsession...nah.
Peace and love, Rachael
